B.E.S.T Awards
A writing contest for all 4th grade students in Detroit Public Schools and DPS Authorized Charter Schools
2017 Theme: “MY FAVORITE BOOK CHARACTER… AND WHY”

  • Entry: One page, handwritten essay, on 8 x 11 paper
  • Deadline: Postmarked by March 10, 2017
  • Mail to: Bookstock 6735 Telegraph Rd. Suite 370, Bloomield Hills, MI 48301
  • Winners will be selected by a committee of Bookstock volunteers
  • Awards: Five finalists will be notified by early April, 2017. All finalists should be present to win
  • The winning entry will receive: $1000 – school; $500 – teacher; $100 and trophy – student
  • 4 runners-up will each receive: $500 – school; $200 – teacher; $50 and trophy – student
  • Bookstock will present awards to winners and runners up at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2017 at Laurel Park Place in Livonia.
  • Completed entry form and media release must be attached to the back of each entry
