A writing contest for all 4th grade students in Detroit Public Schools and DPS Authorized Charter Schools.
2022 Theme: “MY FAVORITE BOOK CHARACTER… AND WHY”
- Entry: One page, handwritten essay, on 8 x 11 paper
- Deadline: Postmarked by March 28, 2022
- Mail to: Bookstock c/o 29699 Southfield Rd., Southfield, MI 48076
- Winners will be selected by a committee of Bookstock volunteers
- Awards: 5 finalists and 10 honorable mentions will be notified in late April. All finalist should be present to win.
- The winning entry will receive: $750 – school; $500 – teacher; $150 – student
- 4 runners-up will each receive: $500 – school; $200 – teacher; $75 – student
- 10 honorable mentions will each receive: $100 – school; $50 – teacher; $25 – student
- Awards will be presented by a WDIV-Channel 4 personality at Laurel Park Place in Livonia on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 between 5–6 pm
- Completed entry form and media release must be attached to the back of each entry
